Thoughtful Design Starts Here
We worked directly with the client to understand their goals, preferences, and budget, then overlaid this architectural plan with a detailed audio zone schematic. Each speaker, subwoofer, and amplifier was carefully itemized and mapped by zone to ensure optimal coverage, performance, and simplicity for the installer.
Bringing the Plan to Life
We use the most context-rich materials available- site photos, aerial views, or in this case, a walk-through architectural rendering- to carefully plan speaker and subwoofer placement. This allows us to visualize how sound will interact with the space. Every speaker is aimed with purpose, taking into account where the family will gather, whether for relaxed evenings or full-scale entertaining.
For this project, we filled the main lawn area with four Coastal Source 10.0 3-Way Bollards positioned along the far perimeter for wide, even coverage, along with an 18.0 Subwoofer for deep, responsive bass regardless of genre or mood.
A second set of four 10.0 Bollards was aimed strategically toward the gazebo area, where family and guests will often gather- supported by another 18.0 Subwoofer for balanced low-end in that zone as well.
Each set of four speakers is assigned to its own independently controlled zone, giving the client convenient control via the BluOS mobile app, with access to high-resolution audio streaming from Tidal, Qobuz, and Apple Music (Lossless)- while still fully supporting platforms like Spotify for everyday use. Subwoofers are placed on a dedicated zone for real-time bass level control, ensuring the system always sounds exactly right for the moment.
Extending Coverage to Fit Every Part of Outdoor Living
To round out the system, we added a pair of Coastal Source Razor 310 speakers at the gazebo- ideal for clear, directional sound when watching TV and equally capable for music during casual gatherings. This area operates as its own independent zone, giving the client flexible control depending on the activity or mood.
All zones are powered by dedicated Coastal Source amplification, delivering clean, reliable power to every speaker and subwoofer. The amps are neatly tucked away in an indoor rack, placed in a location that works best for the client’s space and accessibility.
